shivering, added to boredom

Have not been in office for five days! since friday, at least. Went to another place last friday to learn more stuff related to my work (now), so had a go at transmissions, dubbing, scheduling and the library. Needless to say, other than clearing some of my doubts, the whole session was pretty boring. Library? what else can one expect? Given the choice I'd rather be the manual worker than the admin worker. At least I'll get to exercise my body pulling tapes from shelves.

Sat's the best cos I went to the beach to chill out with a couple of close friends and a dutch interning in Singapore. The weather wasn't very encouraging initially, esp when we got off the cable car, the person welcoming us to sentosa was telling us to enjoy whatever we can cos the forecast for the day wasn't pleasant. So we went to the beach with our foreheads crumpled, thinking when the rain would hit us. Waste of time worrying away though. We had a very good szun, blazing away later on and I got darker despite my two coats of sunblock 130 spf. Boy, was the weather good after that. we were so hynotised by the waves and tired after a trying swim (waves were big man) that all of us were just lazing around and refusing to go off. So 3 o'clock became 4, and 4 became 5...

After that, went to watch infernal affairs 2. Great actors (pretty faces). but the plot was abit incoherent with the first one. So...

Then, I was supposed to be at a wedding shoot for monday, so I took a day off, but turns out that the shoot got cancelled. Growl... though I did enjoy the day off. Well, the pay for internship isn't that great you know. We are the cheapest labour you can find around...

Then tuesday, went to visit a studio production as part of my training again. studio definitely is easier in the outside world. Sigh... I rem that none os us had the guts to joke when we were having studio at school. But do watch out for the VJ dares. We laughed our heads off when Denise was dared to dance like crazy for 60 sec.

Here I am, back on wed at work. But because my colleagues need to understudy each others' jobs so that they can cover them when on leave, I'm not doing the usual stuff I do, but back to dubbing. Don't like it. It's too slack. Our dept's work depends a lot on the 'business' we get, just like customer service. But for dubbing, I just dun feel the adrenaline rush. Because though there is still the time constraints and problems, but ain't as much as what I was doing. I figured that I don't want to do a job which allows me to slack. Somehow, I need something to keep me on my toes if you want to see a bright and cheerful me. I'm a born machine, well-trained by the singapore government.

Anyway, some funny things to cheer up this slow slow day:
1. I learnt about mammals the other day, when my friend told me that bitches have periods. Boy, am i ashamed. the only mammal I remember is the whale. Fren was completely disgusted when I din know that dogs, cats etc are mammals too, including us.

2. I learnt that guys in NS get condoms when they go overseas for training. Asked my friend whether he used his and he refused to tell me, though i personally think he din. Also, was arguing with my fren why the SG govt still needs to give these lads condoms, when they should have learnt about HIV and stuff in Pri school. Also, teach them a lesson on how to be responsible for themselves. What a nanny state we are. But giggled away when my fren said that we can't have a bunch of curious soldiers contacting HIV away. Boy, you know what killed the cat?

3. Was watching this Taiwanese forum program about menses. This guy was saying how his fren had sex with a girl who was having menses. Everything was all right when lights were off. Then the lights came on, and he was stunned beyond words. The place looks as though he had been stabbed several times, like a murder scene. My sis and I just laughed our heads off. Told my male fren, and he too. Told me not to tell him anymore or the image will stick in his mind Haha, it's a very dangerous thing to do you know, the guy might just never 'perform' for life after that.

Ok, that's it for now. back to boring lunch and work.
